Pupils in Goa are off school for 53 days in 2025, spread across 3 holiday periods. Running through the year, the breaks are: summer holidays (1 May–12 June, 43 days), Dussehra holidays (2 October–4 October, 3 days) and winter break (25 December–31 December, 7 days). The summer break is by far the longest, running from 1 May to 12 June and giving pupils 43 days of continuous time off. Set against the country-wide average of 61 days, Goa gets 8 days fewer. Exact dates can be confirmed against the official regional school calendar before booking travel, as individual schools occasionally add their own in-service days.
